ARRIVING BY CAR

Park nearby.
Settle in.

A little local guidance for an easier arrival in Rethymno.

We do not have private parking.

Street and public parking are a common part of everyday life in Rethymno, for visitors and locals alike. You’ll find several options around the apartments — these are the places I suggest checking.

FOUR PLACES TO TRY

A short walk from your stay.

Select a number to see its walking route.
Tap a pin to open the parking in Google Maps.

Walking distances and times are approximate, based on mapped pedestrian routes. Allow a little extra time with luggage. Google Maps provides current directions; spaces, access and charges may change.

1Free public parking

Saint George area

Aggelou Sikelianou parking

4–5 min walkApprox. 330 m to your stay

My closest suggested public parking spot, near Saint George Church. A good first place to check when you arrive.

2Paid parking

Marina parking

Sofokli Venizelou · harbour

9–10 min walkApprox. 690 m to your stay

A useful organised option by the harbour, with a seafront walk back to the apartments. Check the displayed rates on arrival.

3Check signs & rates

Rethymno Port parking

An alternative by the harbour

9–10 min walkApprox. 700 m to your stay

A second harbour option if your first choice is full. Follow the signs for the parking area you use and check any charges.

4Free public parking

Public parking

A little further into town

12 min walkApprox. 890 m to your stay

Another option within walking distance. Check for market-day notices or temporary restrictions before leaving your car.

A LITTLE LOCAL KNOW-HOW

Fotis’ parking tips.

In summer and at weekends, try arriving earlier in the day or around midday. Spaces often fill up in the afternoon and evening, so keep a second option in mind.

Street parking is an option, too.

It is generally free where permitted. Always follow local signs and markings, and keep entrances and driveways clear.

A little reassurance from your local host.

In my experience as a local, Rethymno is a safe, welcoming city. Street and public parking are part of everyday life here, for residents and visitors alike, so you can feel at ease about choosing a nearby spot. Simply park legally and lock your car as usual.

Save your spot.

Drop a pin in your phone when you park, then use the “Walk to the apartments” link above to find your way back.
